March 4, 2027 · Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center “Faros” · Athens
A high-level commercial laboratory where the global fleet moves from theory to action on Small Modular Reactors & Floating Nuclear Power Plants.
Just a few words
Building the first major nuclear maritime conference in Athens for 2027 is a visionary move. Greece, holding the world’s largest merchant fleet, is the natural home for this conversation — especially as the industry moves from theory to action on Small Modular Reactors (SMRs) and Floating Nuclear Power Plants (FNPPs).
The summit opens a serious, evidence-based and multi-thematic dialogue on the potential integration of nuclear technology as a decarbonization solution for the global shipping fleet — presenting technological developments, regulatory hurdles, insurance issues, social concerns, policy recommendations and best practices.
